Meet Kate Hebditch

Kate has over 20 years’ experience of museums and heritage.

As Deputy Curator at the Dorset County Museum she managed extensive natural history and geology collections and contributed to new galleries and developments. This was followed by the post of Curator of Brecknock Museum and then Museum Development Officer at MLA-London and the Museum of London.

Kate’s work in independent museums and with the voluntary sector has given her strengths in problem solving, managing on small budgets, and volunteer management and development. She has worked with independent, local authority, national and university museums and also with libraries and archives. She has written the guide for the Association of Independent Museums on Setting Up a New Museum.
