Meet Judith Stinton

Judith has over 10 years’ experience of museums and interpretation.

Judith was appointed as writer and researcher in 1994 for the Writers’ gallery at the Dorset County Museum and has since worked on many museum projects. A Writer’s Dorset was a major new gallery, interpreting the collections and works of Thomas Hardy and other Dorset writers and designed by Bremner and Orr. It won the social history category of the Museum of the Year in 1998.

Judith has also catalogued the extensive literary collections at the Dorset County Museum and worked on exhibitions, enquiries and learning programmes. She ran several highly successful programmes of literary events. She is also the author of eight local history books and five children’s books.
